Here are some frequently asked questions about Choir Genius!

Where can I get help / support?

Users can get help from:
- Our AI chat bot (available on the dashboard & and the help page, in the lower right corner for Admins)
- the support knowledge base (this site)
- other users in the “Choir Geniuses” facebook group or the Choir Genius Discord Channel
- or by emailing support directly at support@groupanizer.com
Humans in our support department only provide help to site administrators. Non-site administrators are encouraged to reach out to their site administrator for help.

We do not offer phone support.

Can I have a demo?

Admins can request a live demo by using this request form: https://www.choirgenius.com/request-a-demo

There is also demo video here: https://youtu.be/vIih0xX4Ay8

What languages is Choir genius available in?

Choir Genius and associated documentation is only available in the English language at this time.

Can I get the names and contact info of some of your customers to talk to them?

Our policy is to safeguard the privacy of our customers, so we will not give out their contact information.
We have testimonials available to read on our public website.
You are also welcome to reach out to fellow customers in the Choir Geniuses facebook group or our Discord Channel .

Can I change my site url?

Yes, if you do not like the automatic url your site was given, you have two options for changing your site url:
1) Support can move you to a different url ending in ".choirgenius.com" as long as the name you want is not currently in use by another group.
2) You can purchase a custom domain name from a DNS registrar (like godaddy, or easyDNS) and support can coordinate with you to move your site to that custom domain name. This option is only available for paid subscribers.

Important: Please reach out to support ahead of time to schedule either of these changes.

Is my data safe?

ChoirGenius is dedicated to protection your personal information. We have separate, private databases for each site, meaning your data is kept separate and secure form everyone else's. This is different from many similar services out there.  We also automatically store 7 days worth of backups for your site at one time, as an emergency restore option if needed. We also ensure that all CG sites are served over HTTPS, offering robust network security.

Our Privacy Policy is located here.
Our Terms of Service is located here.

Where are your servers located?

Our servers are located in the US and Canada.

Where are my card details stored?

We do not store any card details within the sites. Instead, we save encrypted keys to process payments through an integration with Stripe. Stripe (a third party merchant service) is used to process all payments, and they store the card details when saved.

Do you have an app?

Yes! We recommend the official Choir Genius App. You can read about it here.

I need some extra help getting set up, what are my options?

We offer a setup package for a one-time fee of $500.
This setup package includes:
● people imported and organized
● events set up
● music uploaded, along with files for the upcoming season
● communication configured
● store products created
For more information, reach out to support@groupanizer.com, or check out this page

If I use your store to sell memberships or tickets, are there extra fees?

We connect with Stripe as a payment processor. Stripe has their own fees (which differ depending on location and transaction type). You will need to set up your own account with Stripe to process online payments through our store.
We do not take any fees ourselves.
Your money is your own, and you can usually have Stripe transfer it to your bank within a few days (for exact timing options, please check your settings in Stripe).

Troubleshooting quick tips

- if tables look "strange" or filters seem "stuck", try logging out fully and back in. This clears any sticky settings and will refresh the tables.

- If your singers can’t see music, it’s probably not assigned to them. This can be done on the music edit page, but it’s easier to do it through a set list that contains the music.

- Choir Genius can send email to many different groups known as “account sets”, but not to one person unless the account set contains only one person.

- “Music learning tracking” was a feature of Choir Genius 3, for tracking how well the singers knew each piece of music, and getting feedback from section leaders. Choir Genius 4 does not have this.

- Subgroups, Labels, Voice Parts and Event Types are all examples of “Vocabularies” in Choir Genius 4. They can be edited by an admin on the Vocabularies page under Admin Settings & Tools.
