We’re rolling out a new set of fixes and enhancements across Choir Genius starting now. These updates focus on stability, usability, and a few highly requested workflow improvements.
Here’s what’s included in this rollout:
Fixes
-
Resolved an “access denied” error on the My Registrations page when no registration tracks were active
-
Restored missing Assessment Queues in Music Learning
-
Fixed sending issues when emailing event attendees who have not yet responded (when subgroups were invited)
-
Corrected public display of the Create an Account button when registration is disabled but the public site is enabled
-
Fixed errors caused by tracks linked to deleted products (deleted items now display as “out of stock” instead of throwing errors)
-
Fixed breadcrumbs in Public Site blocks so they correctly link back to Public Site settings
-
Resolved an error when sending a test email to yourself
-
Disabled forms will no longer accept new submissions from members (access denied enforced)
-
Fixed quoted search behavior in the Events table
Enhancements & New Features
-
Custom Account Sets: Create flexible sets by combining roles and subgroups for invites, mailing lists, and more (for example: Member AND Active Singer, Alto 1 OR Alto 2) Read more about Custom Account Sets here.
-
Form Actions: Forms can now remove a label from a profile upon submission
-
Badge Report: Custom fields can now be added via selectable checkboxes
-
Ticket check-in access extended to 7 days after an event to allow for manual updates when needed
(Note: this does not affect event attendance check-in, which remains managed through attendance pages)
System Behaviour Improvements
-
Abandoned carts that reach the payment session but are not completed will now be automatically deleted after 2 hours
-
The Miles “Ask Me” chat bubble has been moved lower on the screen to prevent it from covering buttons below tables
These updates are rolling out now and will become available automatically. No action is required on your part.
What’s Up Next
Work is now underway on the first community-selected development package from our recent Discord vote: Packet 1 – Attendance Core.
This packet focuses on core attendance workflows such as RSVPs, check-in/out, attendance grid accuracy, forecasting, bulk updates, subgroup filtering, excused vs unexcused tracking, capacity limits, and attendance exports.
For a full list of the upcoming packets and the details about the issues/items in each packets, please check out our discord channel.
