We have a Choir Genius update scheduled to begin Wednesday, July 22, after 7:00pm Pacific.

The rollout may take some time to complete, so you may not see the changes on your site until Thursday. No downtime is expected.

Public Site

New Swoop theme

A new public-site theme called Swoop is now available. This modern theme includes flexible page layouts and new design options for your public website.

Registration and Email Templates

New Email Templates feature

Email Templates can now be created for use during the registration process. These emails can automatically send after someone completes registration, with information filled in from their registration, forms, or store order.

To make the distinction between these features clearer, the previous Email Templates area has been renamed Email Styles. Email Styles control the visual formatting used for emails sent from your site.

A new email style called Top Logo Dark has also been added. This style includes colour-customization options.

Store and Products

Disable the public store

Organizations with an Executive subscription can now completely disable the public store, removing the storefront from the public-site menu, and the logged in member view.

Administrators will continue to have access to the Store area within the administrative site, allowing products to remain available for registration tracks and other internal uses.

Archive products

Products can now be archived instead of permanently deleted.

Archived products:

  • Are saved but inactive
  • Cannot be purchased
  • Do not appear in the regular product list
  • Can be viewed using the new product filters

This provides a clearer view of your active products while preserving older product records.

Attendance

Automatic partial attendance after a grace period

A new attendance setting allows you to add a grace period after an event’s scheduled start time.

When partial attendance is enabled, anyone checking in after the grace period will automatically be marked Partial. This applies to check-ins completed through:

  • The attendance check-in page on the site
  • Attendance pages in the mobile app
  • QR-code check-in

The grace-period and partial-attendance settings can be found under:

Admin Settings & Tools > Calendar & Event Settings

Store, Invoices, and Transactions

  • Transaction fees are no longer applied to items paid for using credits. The transaction fee will be recalculated based only on the remaining invoice balance that is eligible for fees.
  • A new Add Credit button has been added to the top-right corner of the Credits table.
  • A confirmation screen now appears when creating multiple invoices.
  • The voluntary transaction-fee option is now unchecked by default.
  • The transaction-fee amount is now displayed during checkout.
  • New columns have been added to the Transaction Report: Tax, Date Invoiced, and Date Paid.

Registration

  • Registration flows involving limited product stock have been refined. Stock quantities and out-of-stock messages will now display only when applicable.
  • Products within a registration track can once again be reordered using the arrow controls.

Events

  • Upcoming-event notification emails now correctly count events scheduled more than four weeks, or 28 days, in advance.
  • Activity start times have been added to the Event Program view.

Email and Communications

  • A sender name and email display issue affecting public-facing mailing lists has been corrected.
